Who?

Is this for me? ....

This class looks at modified breathing techniques, gentle stretches and strengthening exercises for people suffering from ongoing illnesses. 

All exercises can be done seated if necessary. 

The class is self-paced so you can challenge yourself or stop and rest as required.

While we will look at meditation, there will be NO specific religious alliance - so you can superimpose your spirituality into this aspect of the class if you wish.

 

Who is the teacher? …

Josie Grigg, a yoga teacher based in Blackwood.  Josie has been teaching yoga for 5 years and has a prior background in engineering.

 

The Manual

Unfortunately there is no current class running.  However, if you are interested in more information there is a ‘Slow and Steady’ Manual that can be purchased for $20.

This covers a range of exercises and sequences suitable for people with chronic illness.  It is available in soft or hard copy.  For more information please email.  Payment can be made by PayPal, direct deposit, cash or cheque.
